Are you free? we often think we are free but are we really free? this question sounds so simple yet it is actually not. What does it even mean to be free? Well in this post I will explain to the best of my knowledge what is free will and whether we have it or not. can you escape fate? Let's consider the story below: When Thabiso was born a prophet foretold that he would grow up to kill his father and then marry his mother. His father fearing for his life decided to leave the baby in the wilderness with the hope that he will die, thefore the prophecy will not come true. The baby was found by another couple, and grew up knowing them as his parents. The boy heard of the prophecy, not knowing his adopted and because he loves his father(adopted) he decided to go away from his family to avoid the prophecy. In the way he met and killed a man and then felt bad for the wife of this man, he decided to marry her. The man he met is in fact his fat...
Khumalo Hendricks and I are no longer an item, as if this month could not get any worse. First the robbery now a break up, The reason is simple, our energies did not align anymore. I am no longer the same person I was prior the trauma and he just could not handle the change. We just drifted apart and no longer felt each others vibe. Anyways, such is life he was a great guy. I still haven't gone to therapy regarding my trauma, I do not know perhaps I am scared of being vulnerable and out in the open. Oh well we shall see, maybe next month I sure will give it a try. Still practicing gratitude though, I am grateful to be alive an experience the blessing that is life itself. Until next time, bye.
On a serious note, I do not come bearing good news, from an in house robbery, to being rejected by something important in my life, to an unexpected turn of events that keep on spiraling out of control all happening under a space of two weeks, I think its safe to say I need therapy. However, remember my post on gratitude? I think it would be hypocritical of me to not note the positive things that have been happening amidst all this chaos. I am grateful I am still alive, things could have turned for the worse, I mean, an in house robbery, where one is pointed with a gun and still makes it out alive, that is worth praising. Yes, the trauma is real, Its like a shadow that follows you everywhere you go, and plays you your least favorite part of the movie, time and time again with no, pause, fast forward or delete button(hence the therapy I am recommending to myself), However I am grateful for the life I have, I can still live to tell my story of survival (to myself of course).
Often life can get so chaotic to a point where one forgets all the little things, they should be grateful for. Practicing gratitude can give a person a moment of relief. Being grateful can give someone who is going through an unfortunate life event hope. If there is one or two things a person can be grateful for, it can put a person’s mind at ease that not everything is going terribly and there is some good that they need to be thankful for in their lives. Being thankful allows one to appreciate and when one is filled with a sense of appreciation, nothing but positive emotions start to manifest. Appreciating that at least you still have a life, gives one a chance to be hopeful that things will change for the better and that it is never too late to do something that will have a positive impact in their life. Practicing gratitude can facilitate positive emotions in a sense that you are thankful for something that makes you feel good or gives one a sense of purpose in their...
