Open Graph and Twitter card tags

 We are now using Open graph tags to enhance SEO for most of our web pages

We are using open graph tags so that search engines will have a better understanding of the content of the website. They also make the visuals really appealing on social media networks such as facebook and twitter.

They show a card with an image, title, and description. This increases the chances of being clicked when encountered. They give you a glimpse of the content you are about to see beforehand allowing users with genuine interest in the content to engage and probably convert.

Introduction to my University life.

I had always imagined that university would be like a candy shop. Full of sweet and pleasurable moments. Finally I would be free from parental rules and high school drama. The money that I would receive from bursaries would be enough for me to get whatever I desired.  Indeed in my first year in 2011, I found my true lover. He is not the typical tall, dark and handsome. Instead he is short, chubby and funny, something that about him tickled my taste buds and he indeed enjoyed tickling me. Khumalo Hendrick stood out from the rest of the crowd, ironically he is was the shortest, so yeah... Anyways, he had money and was funny so I guess that was a win.  My best friend Sbahle and I always used to chill at the cafeteria to buy some food, we both doing a BSc, of which I believe her science bursary covered most of her needs and I, well had to rely on Khumalo's help and the little I got from home.  Which brings me to my next point, university was not at all like a candy shop, if anything it

A traumatic era

On a serious note, I do not come bearing good news, from an in house robbery, to being rejected by something important in my life, to an unexpected turn of events that keep on spiraling out of control all happening under a space of two weeks, I think its safe to say I need therapy.  However, remember my post on gratitude? I think it would be hypocritical of me to not note the positive things that have been happening amidst all this chaos. I am grateful I am still alive, things could have turned for the worse, I mean, an in house robbery, where one is pointed with a gun and still makes it out alive, that is worth praising. Yes, the trauma is real, Its like a shadow that follows you everywhere you go, and plays you your least favorite part of the movie, time and time again with no, pause, fast forward or delete button(hence the therapy I am recommending to myself), However I am grateful for the life I have, I can still live to tell my story of survival (to myself of course).
